Feng Shui Guild
In the Feng Shui Guild, Pyramid Feng Shui is part of an interactive network of feng shui schools whose goal it is to achieve and promote a modern integrative feng shui tradition. Other contributing members in these efforts are the Compass School, the Black Sect School (BTB), the Form School, the Western School and the Intuitive School.
Compass School
The Compass School uses an ancient instrument called the Luo Pan for feng shui calculations and interpretations. Feng shui readings and recommendations are based on astrological data for clients and buildings. Birth dates and times of home and business owners as well as building data determine auspicious and inauspicious directions and future adjustments.
Black Sect School
Black Sect School origins go back to ancient Tibetan Tantric Buddhism. Feng shui cures are closely linked to transcendental values of symbols and talismans. BTB serves western culture with modern interpretations while upholding sacred traditions.
Form School
Form School is closely related to Geomancy in reading land formations and geological phenomena for formulaic interpretations. Form School goes back to the most ancient feng shui practices when agrarian cultures saw anthropomorphic forms and symbols in landscape and cloud formations. Their interpretations have been passed down to modern man through 5000 years of oral traditions in the symbolic language of feng shui.
Western School
The Western School is one of the contemporary renditions of Form and Black Sect School, combined and reinterpreted to accommodate modern, western sensitivities while adhering to basic feng shui formulas.
Intuitive School
The Intuitive School has been popularized by William Spear with “Feng Shui Made Easy.” It advocates the innate ability of every individual to balance and harmonize the environment. Feng shui experts, with professional training, have additional and deeper insights because of intuitive sensitivities.
